Do you provide the leather goods?
Clients typically provide their own items for personalization.
For best results, I recommend supplying a sample piece, offcut, or spare item for complimentary testing prior to production. This allows me to verify compatibility and ensure the desired finish can be achieved before proceeding with your order.
Alternatively, clients may order from my preferred supplier recommendations, which include products and materials that have already been tested and approved for hot foil stamping.
Is material testing required?
Yes. Testing is mandatory for all new materials and products.
Because every leather and faux leather material behaves differently, testing helps confirm foil adhesion, stamping quality, and overall compatibility before production begins.
Complimentary testing is included with every project.
What materials can be stamped?
Hot foil stamping works best on genuine leather and many faux leather materials. Compatibility varies depending on the surface finish, coating, texture, and construction of the item.
Can you stamp logos?
Yes. Custom logo dies can be produced for corporate gifting, branded merchandise, and live activations. Additional setup fees apply.
How many characters can fit?
This depends on the size of the item and the location being stamped. Most luggage tags and small leather accessories comfortably fit between 2-3 character characters depending on the size of text requested.
What is the turnaround time?
Most studio commissions are completed within 5-10 business days following successful material testing and project approval.
For live events, advance booking is strongly recommended. The earlier the project is confirmed, the more time is available for material testing, sourcing, custom die production (if required), and overall event preparation.
Rush projects may be accommodated depending on availability.
Do you travel for events?
Yes. Live hot foil stamping services are available throughout Toronto, the GTA, and beyond.
